I-96 exit to Merriman Road closed through Saturday, Oct. 24

The westbound I-96 off-ramp to Merriman Road is closed Wednesday, Oct. 7, through Saturday, Oct. 24, as part of the city's water main replacement project, the City of Livonia posted Tuesday, Oct. 6. Crews are replacing a water gate well at the top of the ramp and its water valves and rebuilding the concrete roadway, which needs at least one week to cure. The city directs drivers to the Inkster Road or Farmington Road exits.

Eastbound M-14 ramp to northbound I-275 closed through Monday, Oct. 19

The Michigan Department of Transportation closed the eastbound M-14 ramp to northbound I-275 Monday, Oct. 5, for warranty work, through Monday, Oct. 19, the city posted. MDOT says the work depends on the weather and may be delayed or canceled. The city also posted that the Robert and Janet Bennett Civic Center Library is renovating its lobby restrooms this fall.

Alice Cooper in-store event Thursday, Nov. 5

Rock City Music Company posted that Alice Cooper will appear at the Livonia record store at 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, celebrating the release of his memoir “Devil on My Shoulder.”
