Churchill Football, Seven Games In

LIVONIA — 10/10/2026

Churchill football beat Walled Lake Central 35-0 Friday, Oct. 9, and is 3-4 through seven games with a lineup that starts ten sophomores and six juniors, one coach Allen Feigel calls one of the youngest in the state. Two regular-season games remain: at Stevenson Oct. 16 and home against Farmington Oct. 23.

A young lineup

Churchill starts ten 10th graders, six of whom play both offense and defense, and six 11th graders. "I'd argue we deploy one of the youngest teams in the state," coach Allen Feigel said.

"While we haven't been pleased with some of our results, we have been pleased with our team's process and continued efforts throughout the weeks of practice," Feigel said. "Our players keep coming back and wanting to get better. There has been no shortage of young guys playing."

He said the team's youth "has shown from time-to-time but we are gaining invaluable experience, while being led soundly by a small senior class."
