The goals

When Livonia Thrive visited practice on Monday, Sept. 21, Pyle laid out the season's goals. “We have really high goals, really high hopes. We look to be division champions. We look to place really well at the conference, and our ultimate goal is to win the Livonia City meet,” he said. “We haven't done that in a really long time, and we haven't qualified for the state meet in close to 10 years. That's our number one goal: to qualify for the state meet as a team.”

Since then, Stevenson has won the LVC Lakes Division meet and the Livonia City Meet and placed second at the Lakes Valley Conference championship. The regional that decides the state meet is Saturday, Oct. 31.
